Honors for Kate

Kate received her Certificate of Merit for the 3rd grading period. For the school year, she has been a consistent honor student.
Here with a photo-op with mom, together with the Principal and the Assistant Principal.

Me, Entrepreneur

Recently, The Rotary Club of Cotabao City South had a Career Guidance Talk with some high school students. The careers included engineering, nursing, accounting, law, medicine, and entrepreneurship.

Since we developed Cafe Le Sorelle, the topic assigned to me was entrepreneurship.

The students were really interested in the topic. So as not to bore the students, I had to stay away from several technical terms, and my talk centered around my experiences both as an employee and a "biz-entrepreneur" which made them see the distinctions and understand the essence and hardships of being an entrepreneur.

At the open forum facilitated by Pp Henry were Rotarians and Anns- Engineer Alice, Nurse Kit, Dr. Biong, Judge Bans, and yours truly.

EDSA1 People Power

Where were you during Edsa1, February 22-25, 1986 to be precise?

This day, the 23rd, we were at Radio Veritas, perhaps one of the few, if not the only one, radio stations to call the people to support the rebellion at Camp Aguinaldo. It was on the 22nd that Jaime Cardinal Sin announced in this station to gather at Edsa to avoid bloodshed. Well, everything is now history.

This was the article I contributed for the Philippne Daily Inquirer on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of People Power, and published last February 26, 2006.
